The Gulf hiring engine is running hot again — and so are the scams around it. This week, two things are true at once: genuine Gulf jobs for Indians are being advertised in large numbers, from Saudi Arabia’s NEOM mega-project to airport ground-staff drives in Indian cities, and fraudsters are working just as hard to take money from job seekers. Here is this week’s hiring picture and how to apply safely.
What’s actually hiring in the Gulf this week
Saudi Arabia’s NEOM wave continues. Agency reports this week describe continued large-scale hiring for NEOM — the Kingdom’s flagship Vision 2030 development including The Line, Trojena and Oxagon. Advertised roles cover construction workers and helpers, electricians, plumbers and welders, heavy drivers and crane operators, plus engineers, supervisors and safety officers. Agencies quote salaries roughly between ₹45,000 and over ₹1,00,000 per month depending on skill, with most employers covering the work visa cost and accommodation. Treat these as agency claims — the only number that matters is on your real offer letter.
Airport ground-staff drives in Indian cities. Recruitment agency announcements on LinkedIn this week advertise a mega campaign for an airport ground-support project in Saudi Arabia, with interviews in Chennai (14–15 October) and Hyderabad (17–18 October), after earlier rounds in Cochin and Mumbai. Roles include operations control centre agents, baggage sorting staff, ramp team leaders, equipment operators and drivers. These are agency announcements, not government notifications — verify everything in the checklist below before travelling to any interview.
Technical and fabrication roles steady. Weekly Gulf job papers list continuing demand across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar for welders, fabricators, electrical engineers, quantity surveyors, MEP supervisors, store keepers and truck drivers.

How to apply for Gulf jobs for Indians without getting scammed
Use this checklist every time, no matter how urgent the “offer” feels:
| Safe sign ✅ | Red flag 🚩 |
|---|---|
| Agency has a valid RA number on the eMigrate portal | Agent cannot show any registration number |
| You verify the demand letter before paying anything | “Visa is ready, just pay today” pressure |
| Interview at a real office with a named company | Interview in a hotel room with no company details |
| Offer letter on letterhead: salary, role, accommodation terms | Offer only on WhatsApp with no documents |
| Receipts for every rupee you pay | Cash demanded, no receipt given |
| Medical and visa process explained step by step | “No medical needed, direct visa” promises |
Five rules that protect you:
- Check the RA number on emigrate.gov.in first. Only approved agents with a valid RA number may legally recruit Indians for Gulf jobs. No RA number, no deal.
- Verify the demand letter. The foreign employer issues it; the agent should show it to you. Cross-check the company name and role details.
- Never pay large sums upfront for a “guaranteed” job. Genuine processes charge for documented services (medical, visa fees, tickets) with receipts — not lump-sum “job confirmation” payments.
- Keep copies of everything. Passport, offer letter, receipts, medical reports — keep digital copies with a family member too.
- Note on eMigrate: registration on the government’s eMigrate portal and pre-departure orientation are part of the official process — an agent who tells you to skip them is not doing you a favour.
Documents most Gulf employers ask for
- Passport with at least 6 months validity (many agents ask for a year or more)
- Experience certificate from previous employers in the same trade
- Recent passport-size photographs
- Medical fitness certificate from an approved centre
- Police clearance certificate (several Gulf countries ask for this)
- Educational or trade certificates, attested where required

Frequently Asked Questions
Are NEOM jobs for Indians real?
NEOM is a real Saudi mega-project and agencies are recruiting Indian workers — but individual ads vary in honesty. Only trust offers backed by a verifiable demand letter through an RA-registered agency on the eMigrate portal.
How much do Gulf jobs for Indians actually pay?
It depends on role, country and employer. Agency ads quote wide ranges, but the only figure that counts is the one on your signed offer letter.
Is the eMigrate portal really needed?
Registration through approved channels on emigrate.gov.in is the government’s official route for overseas recruitment. Skipping it removes your main layer of protection.
What is the biggest Gulf job scam right now?
Agents demanding large upfront “visa confirmation” payments for jobs that don’t exist, or selling visit visas as work visas. A visit visa does not legally allow you to work.
Can I apply for Gulf jobs without an agent?
For some routes, yes — the UAE’s jobseeker visa lets eligible candidates enter and job-hunt without a sponsor. But most Gulf work visas still route through employers and registered agents. Read our guide on the UAE jobseeker visa before choosing.
